Amanda & Craig: A Fall Breese (IL) Wedding by Bolla Photo

A Fall Breese Wedding....corny pun, I know. I just couldn't resist!

Amanda was the Maid of Honor at her sister Melissa's wedding in 2014. (See Melissa and Ryan's wedding photos HERE.) At the reception, Amanda and Craig were quite entertaining as they danced the night away. When she later inquired for her own wedding, I knew they would be another fun couple!

While getting all dolled up by the talented ladies of Nu Image Salon, Amanda received a super cute visitor. We always have time for some loving from our fur babies!

Amanda and Craig opted not to see each other before the ceremony. Yet, we were able to coordinate doing portraits outside at the same park without them running in to each other. This really helped save time after the ceremony so we could focus on doing more portraits of just the bride and groom.

I am completely loving Amanda's color scheme. The navy and grey look so fabulous together!

Congratulations again, Amanda and Craig! May you always keep dancing! <3

Paige & Blake: A Wedding with a View by Bolla Photo

Bolla_Photography_St_Louis_wedding_photographer-0003.jpg

Paige and Blake married overlooking Lake Aspen at the Innsbrook Resort in Innsbrook, Missouri. Along with her bridesmaids, Paige did all of her wedding-day preparations at her parents' vacation rental house on-site. A special personal touch was the blue heart sewn into the underside of Paige's dress, which was in honor of her late sister, Korby.

Blake soon joined us all at the house to see his bride for the first time. The two shared their special "first look" moment out on the back deck.

This white fence along a little bend in the road was my personal favorite spot from Paige and Blake's engagement session, which we also did at Innsbrook Resort.

Anticipation for the bride's arrival grew among the guests as the wedding party processioned along the winding path down from the Aspen Center to the Lakeside Stage.

The multi-talented bridesmaid Sarah beautifully sang Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" for Blake and Paige's first dance as husband and wife.  (Sarah was also the make-up artist of the day.)

Becky and Chris 11.02.13 by Bolla Photo

Unlike most brides, Becky did not have an exact idea of what she wanted her wedding day to be like. This proved to make certain aspects of the wedding planning a bit challenging due to all of the decisions to be made.  However, when it came to her wedding photos, Becky knew what she wanted. She wanted something other simply trees or fields.  She had a vision of a vintage rustic building as the perfect backdrop.  The only problem was finding one in a location that would work with her wedding day schedule.

When Becky told me about the barn at her new home, I knew we had found the right location. But there was a new problem: the only access into the attic of the barn was a ladder up the wall made of 2 by 4 planks (gradually increasing in size from a few inches long). Unfortunately, our original thoughts of opening the side of the barn and lifting Becky up in a bucket truck didn’t work out. (The barn’s fault, not the truck’s.)  Thankfully, though, she’s quite a trooper and climbed her way up. Thanks are also due to Chris, Tara and Kelsi (of Peace Love Productions) and the groomsmen who also helped the bride make her journey safely. Anything for the sake of unforgettable photos!

Congratulations again, Becky and Chris and adorable little Kynslee!

Kelly and Nick 10.20.12 by Bolla Photo

We had an absolutely fantastic time with Kelly and Nick! We started the morning at their home where the guys all relaxed after getting ready. We then made our way over to Kelly’s mom’s house where the girls were enjoying mimosas in their matching robes as they made themselves even more beautiful.

One of my favorite parts of any wedding is interaction between a bride and her father during the few moments before they walk down the aisle.  After taking turns wiping tears from their eyes, Kelly and her father, Bill, gave each other one last reassuring look before heading to the altar. Once the vows had been said and the rings exchanged, the couple were led out of the church by a bagpiper, in keeping with the McMackins’ Irish heritage.

Kelly and Nick built in lots of time in their day’s schedule for portraits.  We started at the beautiful Carondelet Park and then were led through the Anheuser Busch brewery for more portraits. Next it was time for McGurk’s in Soulard, where the bridal party helped Kelly and Nick get the party started early.  And they continued having a blast all night at the spectacular Neo on Locust.

Nick and Kelly, we are so happy for you two! Congratulations again!
