Welcome 2014! The new year started with a dusting of snow, which looked great for Bobbie and Bob’s elegant January engagement session. We started out strolling along the cobblestone streets of Laclede’s Landing in downtown St. Louis. As the wind picked up, we headed to the Muny at Forest Park.
Next up: warmer clothes and a little fun on the swings and then the playground, where the sun shone perfectly in the January sky behind Bobbie and Bob.
After all our gallivanting in the snow, we warmed up with some Starbucks down on the Loop.
Can’t wait for your October wedding, Bob and Bobbie! Be safe (and warmer) down in New Orleans!
(And in the meantime, here’s a flashback to Bob being a fabulous best man for Billy back in 2012.)
It was Game 3 of the 2013 World Series. After the Cardinals won game 2 over the Red Sox on the night of their rehearsal, Melissa was hoping for another win to make her husband even happier on their wedding day. As a large part of the wedding guests, including the mother of the groom (aka the biggest St. Louis fan, according to best man Michael), gathered around the TV at the Forest Park Golf Club, the Cards went on to win 5-4 over Boston.
The rest of the day was just as wonderful! Melissa and Joe wed at the beautiful St. Gabriel’s in St. Louis. Then the entire bridal party headed across the street for some portraits. After a quick drive all the action at Busch Stadium, we stopped on Washington Avenue. There we ran out and dodged traffic and also ran in to the wonderful firefighters from Engine House #2 of the St. Louis Fire Department. They were kind enough to let us highjack their fire truck briefly and they even joined in for a photo. Then it was on to Forest Park where the sky lit up in beautiful streaks of blue and gold and everyone enjoyed a night filled with dinner, dancing, laughter, and of course, the St. Louis Cardinals.
Congratulations again, Melissa and Joe!

Jessica and Doug’s engagement session was on a very hot and humid day last July. They must have been training for their wedding day, because they got married on what unfortunately turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year. Except for a few minutes of everyone almost melting at Forest Park, however, the rest of the day was thankfully cool…and inside.
The girls started their day getting (even more) beautiful at Sizzor Shak in Collinsville. Then it was time for the ceremony at the absolutely gorgeous St. Clare Church. After the mass and portraits, the couple arrived at Scott Air Force Base to greet the guests as they arrived for cocktail hour.
Following the tradition started by her parents, Jessica and Doug cut their beautiful wedding cake with her father’s military sabre. Then against tradition, they had their first dance as husband and wife to Adam Sandler’s “I Wanna Grow Old with You” (as seen on The Wedding Singer).
Congratulations, Jessica and Doug! We wish you all the best in New Orleans! And hopefully your Rock-the-Frock Session will be on a cooler day.
